Mazda Driver's Assurance Plan applies to all new 2001, 2002 and 2003
model-year vehicles. The Mazda Driver's Assurance Plan assures you that
the total enjoyment of driving a Mazda never stops.
"Bumper to Bumper" Limited Warranty
Mazda now cover all 2003 model year vehicles against defects in materials
and workmanship for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Mazda covers the car "bumper-to-bumper": every Mazda-supplied
part from the badge on the grille to the license plate light to the toot
of the horn (except those components subject to normal wear).
This limited warranty is transferable, and it's included on all new Mazda
vehicles sold and serviced in any state. See your Mazda dealer for complete
details.
Other warranty exclusions may apply. Refer to the warranty information
booklet and owner's manual found in your glove box.
Roadside Assistance
Lock your keys in the car? Get a flat tire?
Mazda Roadside Assistance service is only a phone call away, 24 hours
a day, 365 days a year. They'll do everything they can to get you going
again - unlock your car, give you a jump start, change a tire, even tow
you to the nearest Mazda dealership if necessary. They can even help you
arrange for a rental car and hotel room, and we can call your home or
office too. They'll keep you on the go. And unexpected happenings will
be just minor bumps in your road.
Beginning with model year 2000, Mazda owners are automatically enrolled
in the Mazda Roadside Assistance for the duration of the new-vehicle limited
warranty.
Please refer to the program brochure for details. Mazda Roadside Assistance
does not include rental car or hotel expenses.
Service Transportation Solution
Of course, even repairs without charge still mean that the dealer has
your car. Mazda knows there's never a good time to be without your wheels,
and with the Mazda Transportation Solution, you won't have to be. Repairs
under warranty will no longer keep you off the road. Take your car in
for warranty work at a participating Mazda dealership, and you can get
a loaner car at no charge. Just ask. You won't have to arrange your day
around a repair schedule, ask friends for rides, or catch up on your magazine
reading while you wait. The Mazda Transportation Solution is in effect
for every 2001, 2002 or 2003 Mazda for the duration of the new vehicle
limited warranty. You'll find all the details at your Mazda Dealer.
Mazda Extended Protection Plan (MEPP) Vehicle Service Contracts are designed
to give you peace of mind that lets you truly enjoy your vehicle even
after the warranty has expired. Various plans are available from PowerCare
that provides basic powertrain coverage on up to TotalCare, one of the
most comprehensive service contract programs available! You can select
from various deductible levels, and various coverage terms are available
up to 10 years and 100,000 miles.
MEPP plans also include benefits such as rental car reimbursement, towing
reimbursement, trip interruption coverage, tire and wheel coverage, and
roadside assistance. Additionally, plans are renewable and transferable.

actual contracts for details of coverage, as well as terms and conditions.)
TotalCare
TotalCare© covers ALL components and parts except for certain maintenance
related and non- mechanical items. (1) Some examples of NON-covered items
are: Normal Maintenance items and parts described in the Vehicle's Maintenance
Manual; Squeaks, Rattles, Water Leaks or Wind Noise; Non-Factory Installed
Radios and Speakers; Exterior Metal; Upholstery; Trim; Convertible Tops,
Glass, Plastic or Assembly.
StatedCare
Includes the items listed under both the PowerCare and PrimaryCare sections
below in addition to these items.

Upper and Lower Control Arms, Control Arm Shaft and Bushings; Upper and
Lower Ball Joints; King Pins and Bushings; Torsion Bars; Strut Bar and
Bushings; Stabilizer Bar; Links and Bushings; Wheel Bearings; Knuckle;
Spindle and Support. MacPherson Strut Housing not including Shock Absorber

All lubricated parts contained within the Steering Gear Box. Rack Assembly,

The following parts are covered only if damaged by the failure of an internal,
lubricated part: Cylinder Barrels, Timing Chain Cover, Valve Covers, Oil
Pan and Rotor Housing.
MANUAL TRANSMISSION/TRANSFER CASE
All internal, lubricated parts. Flywheel; Transmission Mounts; Clutch
Master and Slave Cylinder. The following parts are covered only if damaged
by the failure of an internal, lubricated part: Transmission Case, Oil
Pan and Transfer Case.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION/TRANSFER CASE
All internal, lubricated parts. Flex Plate; Vacuum Modulator; Transmission
Mounts. Torque Converter if internally damaged. The following parts are
covered only if damaged by the failure of an internal, lubricated part:
Transmission Case, Oil Pan and Transfer Case.
DRIVE AXLE (FRONT/REAR)
All internal, lubricated parts. Drive Shafts; Axle Bearings; Drive Axles,
Stub Axles, Tripod Joints; Universal Joints; Constant Velocity Joints
and Boots; Locking Hub Assembly. Drive Axle Housing if damaged due to
the failure of an internal, lubricated part.
SEALS AND GASKETS
Seals and Gaskets on all covered parts.
TAXES AND FLUIDS
State and local taxes, where applicable, and fluids as required as part
of a covered repair.

MAZDA Extended Protection Plan contracts also include the following benefits.
RENTAL CAR REIMBURSEMENT
Reimburses up to $30 per day for up to six days per covered repair event.
Upgrade option is available for up to $50 per day for up to six days per
covered repair event.*
TOWING REIMBURSEMENT
Reimburses up to $100 per occurrence in the event of a covered repair.*

Reimburses for food and lodging, up to $100 per day for up to three days

TRANSFERABLE:
If you sell your vehicle you can transfer your MEPP coverage to the new
private owner of the vehicle. (1)
RENEWABLE:
If you end up keeping your vehicle longer than you anticipated and your
MEPP contract term is close to expiration, you can purchase another contract
for the vehicle prior to the expiration of the current contract and enjoy
no lapse in coverage. (1)
EMERGENCY ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
Available 24 hours a day and reimburses up to $100 per occurrence for
the following services:
- Towing
- Flat Tire Change
- Gas and Fluids Delivery
- Lock Out
- Battery Jump Start
TireCare and DriverCare
These are special benefits-only packages designed primarily for lease
customers.
"TireCare" reimburses for replacement of covered wheels and
tires damaged by road hazard.
"DriverCare" reimburses for replacement of covered wheels and
tires damaged by road hazard, and includes trip interruption which reimburses
for food and lodging up to $100 per day for up to three days if your vehicle
needs a covered repair more than 50 miles from home.
