IN USA Maintaining regular service intervals is key to keeping your Nissan operating at peak efficiency. The chart below outlines the general maintenance requirements for all Nissan models. For complete, model-specific maintenance requirements, refer to your Nissan Service and Maintenance Guide (or, for models prior to 2003, your service and maintenance guide).
1 2WD. 2 4WD. 3 Frontier, Pathfinder, Xterra. 4 4WD versions of Frontier, Xterra. 5 Altima, Maxima, Sentra, Quest, 4WD versions of Frontier, Pathfinder, Xterra. 6 Optional equipment on Frontier, Pathfinder, Xterra. 7 Replace (not just inspect) oil if towing a trailer, using a camper or a car-top carrier, or driving on rough or muddy roads. 8 Altima, Maxima, Quest, Sentra. 9 Except Altima, Maxima, Sentra. 10 Standard equipment on Maxima. Optional accessory on other models. 11 Propeller shaft should be re-greased after being imersed in water (Frontier, Pathfinder, Xterra). 12 4-Cylinder Frontier/Xterra. Some V6-equipped models require timing belt
