Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Warranty
All CPO Volkswagens are covered by a 2 year or 24,000 mile (whichever
comes first) comprehensive limited warranty. A few of the finer details:
There's no deductible charged when you visit a dealer for covered repairs.
In the U.S. you also receive the balance of the 5 years or 50,000 mile
limited powertrain warranty and any remaining corrosion perforation warranty.
The VW CPO limited warranty begins when the new car limited warranty
expires or the used sale date, whichever occurs later. Warranty repairs
can be made at any authorized Volkswagen dealer in the US or Canada.
Obviously there are a few things you'll have to be responsible for -
like normal wear and tear, any alterations you make and (heaven forbid)
accidental damage. You'll also have to take care of regular maintenance
services like oil changes.
2 Years of Roadside Assistance program coverage in the 24 hours, 7 days
a week in the US or Canada at no charge. Roadside Assistance in the US
is provided by the American Automobile Association (AAA) and its affiliated
clubs. Roadside Assistance in Canada is provided by Professional Dispatch
Group.

Volkswagen Credit - Buying vs. Leasing*
Do you like the idea of owning your Volkswagen? Or would you rather enjoy
a Volkswagen vehicle for a while and turn it in for a new Volkswagen at
the end of your lease?
Here's some food for thought. Would you rather spend a little each month
for a Volkswagen with the option to buy, or pay a little more each month
and own? Would you be limited by potential mileage restrictions? Do you
need to build equity? Read on to help you decide.
Volkswagen Credit - Financing
Maybe you're the type who loves your Volkswagen and wants to hold on to
it for more than just 2-4 years. Or someone who simply enjoys the fact
that being a Volkswagen owner eliminates restrictions. Or perhaps you
just like shouting from the rooftops "Mine, all mine!" Whatever
it is, if the prospect of buying a Volkswagen tickles your fancy, we're
the ones who'd like to help make it happen.
When you buy (or "finance") a Volkswagen, you arrange to make
monthly payments for the length of the loan. As soon as you pay that off,
your Volkswagen is all yours. That's right. No mileage restrictions. No
charges for excess wear. Just you and your Volkswagen and the open road.
Volkswagen Credit - Leasing
Think of it as renting. People who lease a Volkswagen pay for the vehicle
for X amount of time. Depending on your needs, X can be anywhere from
1 to 5 years.
Simply put, the shorter the lease term, the sooner you can get a new Volkswagen.
The longer the lease term, the payments are typically lower. In either
case, you typically pay less per month to lease your Volkswagen than someone
who buys*. Hence, more car for the money. And at the end of your lease,
you get to decide whether to buy your Volkswagen or return it to the dealer.
Obviously, all this comes with a few restrictions and your decision can
be affected by things like mileage limitations and applicable fees.
If you think leasing may be for you, talk to your Volkswagen dealer.
They'll be glad to explain everything.
Volkswagen Credit - Drivers Option
Can't decide between leasing and buying? Then don't.
Lot's of people wrestle with this decision. But wrestle no more. Volkswagen
Credit has come up with a way to let you enjoy the benefits of both.
It's called Driver's Option** and it's based on a financing contract.
It's a plan where your Volkswagen is registered in your name (a chance
to build some equity) but the monthly payments are typically lower (more
like a lease). There's no security deposit or acquisition fee and at the
end of the term you'll have three options. You can either keep the car
and pay the balance or keep the car and refinance the balance. Or simply
return the car to the dealer**. The choice is yours.
*There may be additional fees at lease end based on excess mileage, wear
and damages. Subject to credit approval.
**Ask your Dealer if Driver's Option is available in your state. Subject
to credit approval. There may be additional fees based on excess mileage,
wear and damages.
†If you have proper insurance in place and if your car is ever
stolen or totaled, Gap protects you from loss by paying the difference
between your insurance proceeds and the balance owed. For complete program
information, please refer to the Volkswagen Credit Gap Contract Amendment.
